Tudor Pointed Submariner Ref 7928 with British Royal Navy History
A military survivor Tudor Submariner…
The reference 7928 was launched by Tudor in 1959. A watch steeped in military history, it was developed in conjunction with the French National Navy, the Marine Nationale (MN). This example has its own military story as it was purchased by a Royal Navy officer during his service. He had his name and Royal Navy engraved into the case back of his watch and it was on his wrist in service for many years.
The pointed crown guard case is in good strong condition. The dial has a gilt chapter ring and the text is in silver print and has a cool and even patina, with deep coloured hour markers. We love the overall patina on this one – although the minute hand has a different patina ( might have been replaced )it looks not off- in our opinion! We really love the overall look of this cool Tudor and its military provenance gives it an interesting angle with military Tudors being such popular watches at the moment. The watch comes on a black Tropic strap. This 7928 has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is ready to go into its next battle!
