Tudor Oysterdate Chronograph Big Block 79170

The Full-Set White Porcelain Big Block

The Tudor Big Block is a key piece of Tudor history as it was the first automatically wound chronograph from Tudor or Rolex, in fact it was released a full decade ahead of the reference 16520 Rolex Daytona. This Big Block has a white, almost porcelain dial; a little like the early so-called floating Daytona. The dial remains in perfect condition and all the lume plots are all intact. The case remains in good strong condition. The solid link Oyster bracelet, with correct 589 endlinks and ‘S8’ clasp, is in good condition with minimal stretch. The 79170 comes with the original inner box, booklet, punched papers and wallet. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
