A tropical entry for the No Date Sub Club…

Finding really nice matte, meters-first 5513s is becoming very difficult – finding one that has turned tropical and remains in stunning condition is one-in-a-million, we love this !

This matte dial variation was the first matte finish dial that Rolex mounted into the 5513 following the gilt glossy dials.
This example has beautiful creamy plots that match the hands and they are all near perfect. The case remains in all-round strong condition with thick and even lugs and crown guards. The bezel insert has naturally faded to a light brown shade with what we believe is a refilled lume dot.

The cherry on this already delicious cake is the original guarantee booklet that confirms the watch was sold by Bucherer to an Brasilian Gentleman in 1970. This really is a very rare opportunity to acquire a dream vintage Rolex sports watch. The watch is fitted with a folded link Oyster bracelet reference 9315 in good condition with a clasp stamped ‘4 71’ and 285 endlinks. The movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
