The Inside Story

A shark tooth bezel that bites…

This is an insanely rare Rolex Oyster from the mid-1950s, a golden time for the brand and an era when so many incredible and unusual versions of the legendary Oyster Perpetual were made.

This is a classic two-tone 34mm Oyster with two very rare attributes.
The first is the unusual shark-tooth bezel, in yellow gold, with minute markings and larger impressions at the hours.

The star of the show, however, is the dial which has a matte cream surface with a super high-gloss black chapter ring that has a 3D effect. The dial is double-signed BEYER ZURICH in the upper half.
We have never seen this dial version before and the fact it is Beyer signed makes it very special. We believe it could be unique. The dial is signed SWISS only and has radium lume and dauphine hands. This special Oyster is fitted with a two-tone Oyster rivet bracelet with 58 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
