A Gilty Pleasure with exclamation mark!
We are super-delighted to offer this incredible, no date Submariner. It’s a stunning example of a beautiful gilt dial Rolex sports watch, with a glossy finish. Most of the text and chapter ring on this dial are a gold colour – hence the term gilt. The colour is actually the brass dial base showing through, as the dials were printed with the text ‘in relief’. This is a rare version of the gilt dial due to the additional two lines of silver print added on top of the lacquer, making four lines in total. This dial has just about everything that the collector could wish for – chapter ring, exclamation dot under the six o’clock marker(most probably done by Rolex on “swiss only“ dials to denote that the radiation has been adapted to new Atomic Energy Commission regulations from 1960).

The hour markers and hand lume are a good match and have turned a mustard colour.
The gilted hands have been stabilized in the past.The bezel is fitted with a fat font insert in stunning condition and a nice hue ! The pointed crown guard case is incredible – just light aging from wear over the years that has softened the factory lines a little. The reference 7206 rivet link Oyster bracelet is in excellent condition and has a clasp stamped ‘2 69’ and 80 endlinks. This is a very important Submariner and would be the pinnacle of any Submariner collection. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Our Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch, starting from the day of purchase. We do not guarantee the waterproof nature of any (vintage) watch, unless expressly made in writing. Therefore, our warranty will not cover any damage done to the case and/or movement by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not apply to accidental damage or mishandling of your watch and does not extend to the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
