The King of the Perpetual Daytonas…
Today we are excited to be offering an example of arguably the most desirable 16520 – the Porcelain ‘Floating’ Mk1. The watches are known as ‘Zenith Daytonas’ due to the fact that the watches had a modified Zenith movement. This example features the glossy lacquered white dial with five lines of text, with the COSMOGRAPH line ‘floating’ from the rest of the text. The dial is in stunning original condition. The watch is fitted with the correct Mk1 ‘200’ bezel in great condition. The case is also in good, healthy condition. Having the correct movement number batch is also very important with these watches and this example has a movement number 14xxx which is correct. The original solid link Oyster bracelet, ref 78360, is in good condition with a clasp stamped ‘M9’ and 503 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

“This is one of the most important watches we have offered at Bulang and Sons, but it’s more than that…it’s beautiful. The way the porcelain dial catches the light is incredible and the orangey-red Daytona texts pops off the dial. Collectors are much more focused on these Perpetual Daytonas now than in the past and this really is the king of them all. A ‘Floating’ R-Serial steel 16520 is a special watch but the much rarer porcelain version takes this watch up to another level. This is a true connoisseur’s watch!”

Each vintage timepiece is individually selected and carefully inspected by our team of experts. After we buy a watch it is serviced by our own experienced watchmaker. The movement is taken apart, cleaned and any malfunctioning part is replaced by an alternative part that is as authentic as possible. After a first series of tests the watch is put back together and tested for another 24 hours.
We guarantee you any vintage watch you buy from Bulang and Sons runs smoothly or it will simply not make it to our shop.
We understand you want to know everything there is to know about the watch you consider buying. We go through great lengths to describe each watch as precise as possible and will always show you a lot of pictures with great detail.
Part of our unparalleled service is superfast Fedex Priority shipping, fully insured. Once you receive your watch inspect it thoroughly. If you are not 100% satisfied, please let us know. We offer a 14 days return policy. Simply return the watch to get a full refund of the original purchase price. See our full return policy for more reassuring facts.
We offer a 1-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch, starting from the day of purchase. To be completely clear: the guarantee applies to the functioning of the watch in indicating time. Please keep in mind it’s a vintage watch, so it might not be 100% accurate. But if that made you tick, you’d be looking for a brand new Fitbit right now.
Excluded from our 1-year guarantee is the waterproofness of the watch. We are also not accountable for any damage caused by falling or bumping of the watch or through the presence of dirt or damp in the watch. The breaking of glass, spring, buttons and pushers, strap or bracelet, winding stem or crown is also excluded. If anything like this happens we are not accountable for the damage nor for the consequences of such damage to other matter or persons.
If the above sounds like a lot fine print mambo jambo, we would like to point out again that each watch is fully serviced and known to be working when we put in the box. And you get an amazing 1-year guarantee, just not in terms of mechanical accuracy or waterproofing.
We are passionate about vintage watches. When you buy a vintage timepiece you buy into a piece of history as well. Most watches we sell have decades of stories to tell. By collecting and wearing such a watch you simply add your story and then pass it on again. There is no object we can feel such a deep connection with. We are really excited to connect you with your next watch.
At Bulang and Sons we have sold hundreds of watches over the years. We are a small team of experienced collectors and connoisseurs, part of an extensive global network of buyers and sellers. We are really proud of the great reputation we have for dealing only with high quality, high standard watches. We have one simply rule: we only buy and sell watches we want to own ourselves. And yes, we are still collectors too.
We know how intense the search for a specific vintage watch can be. Once you find it at Bulang and Sons, we want to make things easy, safe and fast for you. Therefore we offer the most comprehensive return policy and warranty; you will not find a safer place on the internet to buy a vintage watch.
We only offer individual timepieces and have a limited collection of the very finest vintage watches out there. The kind of quality we look for is rare to find, so we are very proud of every single watch in our shop.
It must be pretty clear by now, that we are not your average watch dealer. That is why we don’t sell our watches with a simple ‘Add to cart’ button and often communicate the price on request. We want to get in touch with you personally, to give you the best experience possible and to make sure you find the vintage watch that is right for you. Whether you’re building a collection or out to find that one unique timepiece, we’re here to help. If there is anything you would like to ask, please do. Connecting with other watch lovers is the greatest thing about working at Bulang and Sons.
